Agrifirm is a cooperative in which approx. 17,000 Dutch enterprising farmers and market gardeners have combined their purchasing power. Agrifirm offers its members maximum purchasing advantage on high-quality products such as animal feed, sowing seeds, fertilizers and plant protection products.
Developments such as precision agriculture, the use of sensors through the internet of things, and the data and information exchange through the chain are becoming increasingly important in the agricultural sector.
The challenge was to develop a web app that enables farmers to receive individual nutritional advice for their animals based on big data, which can then be linked to the feed ordering process. For example, livestock farmers can work on animal welfare while the final yield is also positively influenced.
The result is a clear and sophisticated app where the farmers get real time advice and feedback on location and the entire process of customising feed is smooth and fast.
My role as a UX designer was to provide the Scrum team with advice, validated high fidelity wireframes and mock-ups with users.
